The Best Car Marketing Ever?
Bugatti Veryon does multiple “highway-runs” upto 225 MPH!
How Do You Market A Super Car? Evidently you design it to go 225 MPH on “ordinary highways” while being able to serve tea and crumpets, without spilling a drop. Okay, I’m not saying it’s okay to go 225 MPH on public roads. We all know that is ill advised, not to mention highly illegal, if attempted in the US, and supposedly this was performed “south-of-the-border”. What I am saying is… if you’re in Automotive Advertising, and you job is to market a world-class super car, that “purportedly” runs at speeds in excess of 200 MPH…is there a better way to Generate Buzz than to take it out for a few runs north of 200 MPH, and post it on YouTube? Probably not!
Think about how many different news organizations, bloggers, and regular Joe’s like you and me “shared” this video/story with friends and collegues world wide. I’d give you the stats, but it’s likely be posted and re-posted under different “titles” making it to difficult to track with certainty, but the number has to be enormous.
Take a look for yourself and see from INSIDE the cabin of the Bugatti Veryon how “uneventful” the post 200 MPH runs seem to be.
From OUTSIDE the cabin, it’s a completely different story as pass after pass, accomplice’s armed with video cameras shoot jaw-dropping flyby’s that can only be describe as “something out of this world”.
I can just imagine the phone calls coming into Bugatti Automobiles headquarters in France, and exotic car stores worldwide.
SPOKEN WITH A “VERY RICH” ACCENT: (Whatever that means)
“Hello… Yes. I’m calling about the Bugatti Veryon.”
“Yes. Well I’d like to put down a deposit.”
“My First-Born Child?”
“No… That’s Not a Problem.”
